Receive Notifications when Cameras Report as Offline

Issue:

 

Obtain informational emails that notify the recipient of a camera connectivity issue.

 

Resolution:

 

1. Log into the Admin section of ESM and choose Devices in the left hand tree.

2. Click on the camera you would like to receive notifications for.

3. Choose Rules and choose Add.

4. Configure the following:

 

Event:

Event Device: Camera Name
Event: Offline

Actions:

Action Device: ESM
Action: Email
Delay: 0
Emails: user@domain.com, user2@domain.com, etc

 

5. Choose Insert at the bottom and then Press Apply.
