How to Determine Video Retention Time

The current archived video retention time can be determined by using the Retention Policy feature in Orchid. The Retention Policy is viewed by clicking “Camera Configuration” in the top left-hand corner, and then clicking the “Retention Policy” button.

After opening the Retention Policy page in Orchid, the Current Disk Utilization section provides an assessment of the current retention of each camera registered in Orchid. The Estimated Retention section calculates the expected archive retention time for each camera.  Below is an example of the Retention Policy page.
