Resolution:
Open command prompt as administrator and type the following commands.
cd "c:\windows\system32\windows media\server"
wmsserverconfig.exe /repair
If that did not resolve the issue, please do the following:
Please try uninstalling the Streaming Media Services role and making sure to delete the ServerNamespace.xml in C:\Windows\System32\windows media\server. Then reinstalling the role again.
